This organization thrives on a contradiction. The Heeters work in a system dominated by Frieza while dreaming of overthrowing him. Elec knows that a direct confrontation would be suicidal. He therefore uses Granolah, then Goku and Vegeta, so that his rivals exhaust each other before launching Gas as his final weapon.
Gas is distinguished by his calm and loyalty. He speaks little, carries out orders and believes in the family project. This reserve does not mean that he is without emotions: his shame in the face of Bardock, his need to satisfy Elec and his fear of losing structure his decisions. Gas confronts Bardock. Elec then unleashes his violent nature, usually contained by a frontal accessory. The power builds, but Gas loses control. Bardock refuses to give in and eventually defeats him. Bardock doesn't win thanks to a magic formula automatically revealing a new transformation. He clings to his desire to win and protects those he chooses to help. Toronbo cannot simply exceed without limit the natural potential of the querent: he proposes to concentrate the power that Granolah could have developed during most of his remaining life.
Elec then reproduces the process with Gas. He brings the balls together and makes the wish in his brother's place. The result propels Gas above the level assigned to Granolah, Goku and Vegeta in this instant ranking. The price is the same in principle: its future is converted into immediate power.
The manga therefore does not present the wish as the creation of infinite energy. It anticipates and condenses potential at the cost of lifespan. In Gas, the physical transformation is spectacular: he becomes larger and more mature, then ages accelerated when Elec pushes him to extract even more strength.

Granolah initially maintains a technical advantage in certain exchanges because he has had more time to get used to his granted power. Gas has the higher ranking, but still needs to adjust his perception, defense and decisions. The arc thus distinguishes the quantity of available capacities from their optimal use.
Gas can also follow Goku when he uses teleportation to get him away from Cereal. Goku goes through several destinations, spotting ki signatures, then abandons Gas on a distant planet before returning. His released form adds fierce power, but initially robs him of discernment. Elec brings him back to himself by awakening his fear of failure. The wish ranks Gas at the top depending on the warriors and possibilities considered at that moment. It does not block the future progression of others. Goku modifies his use of Ultra Instinct, Vegeta learns through contact with combat and Frieza continues training that the Heeters ignore. The title is a photograph, not a lock placed on the universe.

Frieza explains that he trained for ten subjective years in a Room of Mind and Time located on another planet.
